Cellar Season '22
Sometimes it seems like you only ever hear about stouts aged in bourbon barrels, but we know, and you know, that there's many more possibilities of bourbon-barrel-aged goodness out there! If you've enjoyed Kentucky Kilt or Rackhouse Reserve in the past you're going to love Cellar Season! This winter sipper was inspired by the delicious collaboration we made last year with our friends at Deschutes Brewery, Maskerade. It began its journey as a massive brown ale before being matured in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for the better part of a year, picking up vanilla and bourbon notes that accent the rich caramel and nutty flavors of the base beer.
Señor Rhino '22
Rhino Suit was one of the first spirits-barrel-aged beers we released at Alesong back in 2016, and although we’ve made subtle tweaks each time around, that same rich and delicious milk stout has been a favorite that we’ve returned to again and again. This fall, we're releasing Rhino Suit alongside our Mexican hot chocolate version, Señor Rhino. Both beers share the same wonderfully rich and chocolatey base blend of stouts aged in Heaven Hill barrels, but Señor forges its own identity with the addition of rich cocoa nibs, smoky ancho chiles, spicy cinnamon, and smooth vanilla.

Touch of Brett '22
You didn't really think we were going to not release Touch of Brett this year did you?? Beyond being our most award-winning beer, Touch of Brett is one of our absolute favorites! It's a wonderful expression of how yeast and hops can complement each other and pairs with nearly anything making it the perfect beer for sharing at your holiday meal! This hoppy saison is always 100% fermented with brettanomyces and aged in French oak barrels before being liberally dry-hopped. This year we used Nectaron hops from New Zealand for the dry-hop, layering tantalizing notes of stone fruit and citrus onto the wonderfully tropical yeast profile.
Whiskers on Kittens '22
Whiskers on Kittens is the encore to our rosé-inspired beer, Raindrops on Roses. For this beer/wine hybrid, we set out to showcase our favorite Bordeaux varietal, sourcing some top quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Horse Heaven Hills AVA to complement a blend of tart farmhouse ales from our wild cellar. Whiskers on Kittens pours a stunning crimson that hints at the bold flavors to come. The beer bursts with aromas and flavors of cherry and blackberry and boasts a complex tannin structure from the oak aging and fermentation on the grape must. Try it with anything you'd pair with a glass of Cabernet.
Alesong Autumn 2022 Beer Release
Alesong is releasing five new barrel-aged blends on November 4th just in time for the holidays and seasonal fireside indulgences. This release features two rich and chocolatey stouts, a massively decadent brown ale, the return of Touch of Brett and perhaps our best wine/beer hybrid to date.
Alesong Earns Bronze Medal at the 2022 Great American Beer Festival
We’re proud to announce that Alesong was awarded a bronze medal at the 2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition. This year marks the seventh year in a row Alesong has received a medal at GABF, coinciding with each year we have released beer since our establishment in 2015. The seven year medal streak is the 5th longest active streak in the country. Alesong was one of only thirteen Oregon breweries to take home an award during this year’s ceremony.
Engage with Alesong: FOOD for Lane County
For the month of September, we’re partnering with FOOD for Lane County, to whom we’ll donate 25% of proceeds from all sales of Gose Añejo toward supporting their organization as part of our monthly Engage with Alesong program.
Terroir Project: King Estate '22
We’re so excited to once again be participating in Firestone Walker’s multi-brewery collaboration Terroir Project, where each brewery makes a wine/beer hybrid beginning with the same base wort and co-ferments it with grapes grown within 100 miles of their brewery, using only the microflora naturally occurring on the grapes’ skin. We might win for the closest-proximity collaboration, as we used estate-grown, whole cluster Pinot Gris grapes from our neighbors at King Estate. We foot-stomped them in our cellar and fermented on the skins to yield an orange wine-inspired beer with an austere fruit profile and awesome peachy hue from the russet-colored grapes.
Silver Lining '22
Say hello to our hoppiest beer yet: Silver Lining! This juicy farmhouse ale is a very Alesong take on the PNW’s favorite beer style and an evolution of what we’ve made with our previous oak-aged farmhouse ales. We took barrels of 18-month-old, brett-fermented saison from the cellar and blended them with younger, foeder-matured beer that was brewed with copious amounts of El Dorado hop extract. The final blend was then liberally dry-hopped and bursts with juicy, tropical flavors and aromas that meld perfectly with the complex yeast profile of the more mature beer. As Jerry would say, every Silver Lining’s got a Touch of Brett!
