Raindrops on Roses '22
After taking the 2020 season off from harvesting wine grapes due to wildfires, we’re elated to have been able to make our next rendition of Raindrops on Roses with 2021 biodynamically-grown Pinot Noir grapes from our neighbors at King Estate. We decided to ferment this beautiful beer entirely on the skins for this go around, aging it briefly in stainless steel before letting it rest in French Oak puncheons we picked up last summer from our friends at Durant Vineyards. What we present to you today is a stunningly pink, rosé-inspired farmhouse ale with a medium tannin structure and wonderful jammy flavors and aromas.
Showstopper '22
Made in collaboration with the Hult Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate their 40th Anniversary, Showstopper lives up to its name! This newest Alesong imperial stout was formed to honor their vision of creating shared experiences that transform, engage, and unite. Showstopper is a rich and bold imperial stout that was barrel aged not once, but twice, to incorporate robust barrel characteristics from Elijah Craig bourbon and local Oregon distiller, Westward Whiskey. We gave the beer an encore on vanilla beans, and just like the upcoming 40th season at the Hult Center, this beer is stacked. It incorporates smooth notes of chocolate, caramel, and dark roasted malts.
