Engage with Alesong: Oregon Cancer Foundation

For the month of October, we’re partnering with the Oregon Cancer Foundation, to whom we’ll donate 25% of proceeds from all sales of Valley Preserves toward supporting their organization as part of our monthly Engage with Alesong program. We’ll also be hosting them at Alesong on 5th from 5-7:00 pm on October 6th for a Happy Hour event to kick off the partnership.

If you aren’t familiar with the Oregon Cancer Foundation, they have empowered, strengthened and sustained those impacted by cancer in our community through education, support and financial assistance. All of the funds raised by them help patients in Lane County, making the Foundation unique.

Holly chose them for this month’s partner because of their Bras For Cause initiative, which seeks to create Breast Cancer awareness and support those going through treatment. Community members decorate and display bras for the event, encouraging the public to donate by voting on their favorites. She had this to add, “Cancer can be a scary ordeal, and it’s very cool that funds raised from the event go directly to financially assisting those who are experiencing hardship while undergoing treatment. It’s also awesome to see the community take a lighthearted approach to something so serious and life-altering.”
