Engage with Alesong: McKenzie River Trust

For the month of September, we’re partnering with McKenzie River Trust, to whom we’ll donate 25% of proceeds from all sales of Breakfast Suit toward supporting their organization as part of our monthly Engage with Alesong program. We’ll also be hosting them at Alesong on 5th from 5-7:00 pm on September 9th for a Happy Hour event to kick off the partnership.

If you aren't familiar with McKenzie River Trust, they’re a local nonprofit land trust formed in 1989 to protect critical habitat and scenic lands in the McKenzie River basin. A large portion of their initiatives over the last year have focused on rehabilitating areas overwhelmed by wildfires.

Matt chose them for this month’s partner because McKenzie River Trust protects habitats by planting thousands of trees, diverting channels into their natural state to protect the ecology of the area, and partnering with groups to slow urban growth in areas to keep the river an awesome place for all to experience. The area is valuable as our local water source, something we as a Eugene company rely on.
