Engage with Alesong: FOOD for Lane County

For the month of November, we’re partnering with FOOD for Lane County, to whom we’ll donate 25% of proceeds from all sales of Cherry Parliament toward supporting their organization as part of our monthly Engage with Alesong program. We’ll also be hosting them at Alesong on 5th from 5:00-7:00pm on November 4th for a Happy Hour event to kick off the partnership.

If you aren’t familiar with FOOD for Lane County, they’re a nonprofit food bank founded in 1984 dedicated to reducing hunger by engaging our community to create access to food. They accomplish this by soliciting, collecting, rescuing, growing, preparing and packaging food for distribution through a network of 166 social service agencies and programs; through public awareness, education and community advocacy; and through programs designed to improve the ability of low-income individuals to maintain an adequate supply of wholesome, nutritious food.

Doug Coombs, co-founder at Alesong, explains why he chose this November partner: “We love the work FOOD for Lane County does to combat food insecurity in our community. Coming up on the holiday season, it felt like a perfect time to try to partner with them to work towards accomplishing that mission.”

Besides buying a glass or bottle of Cherry Parliament, you can also donate to them directly through their website.
