A returning favorite inspired by the world of cocktails, Old Fashioned is a blend of strong ales selected to capture the essence of the classic cocktail of the same name. After tasting through the barrels in our cellar, we settled on our barleywine aged in George Dickel 16-year casks. Rich caramel, vanilla, and bourbon-like flavors are accented by citrus notes from fresh orange peel added just before bottling. Compared to our previous vintage, this year’s has more residual sugar to capture the signature sugar cube you’d expect from an Old Fashioned cocktail. Sip this and imagine a time when news traveled slowly and a leather-bound book was your favorite companion.
