Winter Release 2024
Alesong is pleased to announce the debut of four new blends for its Winter release the weekend of February 1st at their wine country tasting room and to retailers across the Pacific Northwest. This release features three new takes on some of Alesong’s most beloved beers and an all-new collaboration stout made with our friends at Creswell Bakery:
Inspired by the Belgian classic, Alesong’s Kriek is a blend of tart barrel-aged blonde beers, refermented on whole, organic, Oregon-grown, Chelan cherries and then finished with a subtle touch of wildflower honey to balance the acidity with a hint of lingering sweetness.
Rackhouse Reserve, Alesong’s cuvée of bourbon-barrel-aged beers makes an appearance for the third time with this release. After laboring through the difficult task of tasting all the barrels in our rackhouse, or cellar of spirits barrels, we selected a variety of different ales and barrels for the final blend, culminating in a harmony of warm flavors reminiscent of caramel, toasted marshmallow, spicy oak and dark chocolate.
Touch of Brett also returns to the lineup for the seventh time! After four GABF medals in six vintages and a pile of other hardware, this beer needs no introduction - It displays a wonderful interplay between Brettanomyces yeast and tropical hop varieties. This round was generously dry-hopped with Azacca, lending flavors of citrus, mango and pineapple on top of a mildly earthy yeast complexity.
From Scratch is a new beer made in collaboration with our friends at Creswell Bakery and a nod to an ethos that we both share. This beer blends Alesong’s decadent barrel-aged milk stout with one of Creswell Bakery’s most popular pastries, the cardamom bun. Flavors of rich chocolate, spicy cardamom, and smooth vanilla are vibrant reminders that the best things in life are made from scratch.
Alesong will host a release party exclusively for Blender’s Circle members at their country brewery the weekend of February 1-4, featuring small bite food pairings to accompany each new beer and will have all of the beers available for non-members the following weekend. Kriek and Rackhouse Reserve will also be available at better retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest beginning the week of the brewery release.
