Kentucky Kilt '22

You’ve been clamoring for it, and it’s finally back! Our third iteration of Kentucky Kilt follows the same general blueprint as years past, but as with every Alesong beer, it forges its own distinct vintage identity along the way. Beginning its life as our malt-forward Scotch ale, then laid to rest in Heaven Hill Kentucky Bourbon barrels for nearly a year, the beer boasts notes of ripe fruit and toffee as well as bourbon and vanilla. Upon blending, we decided to accent those barrel-induced vanillins through the addition of Madagascar vanilla beans in the final blend. The resulting beer is somehow rich and malt-forward, while finishing relatively dry, making it dangerously drinkable!

ABV: 12.5%

Pairing Suggestions: Grilled peaches with honey mascarpone and blueberry balsamic vinegar, pimento cheese and bacon crostini, lemon herb barbecued pork chops, brown sugar butterscotch pecan cookies
