Engage with Alesong to Support McKenzie River Trust for June
Eugene’s Alesong Brewing & Blending is pleased to announce their Engage with Alesong charity partner for the month of June: McKenzie River Trust, a nonprofit land trust formed in 1989 to protect critical habitats and scenic lands in the McKenzie Basin. As a brewery, Alesong’s number one input is water, so protecting the McKenzie basin is a cause that hits close to home.
The partnership kicks off Thursday June 1st with a happy hour at Alesong on 5th beginning at 5pm where McKenzie River Trust representatives will be on hand to talk more about what they do and share some beers with Alesong customers. A portion of every item sold that day will be donated in addition to 25% of the entire month’s sales of Alesong’s rich and decadent bourbon barrel-aged barleywine, Maestro.

We’re continually impressed with their ongoing initiatives to help protect our local ecosystems,” said Alesong co-founder, Matt Van Wyk. “We’re glad to support them in their efforts, especially since they directly impact the area we call home.”
ABOUT THE ENGAGE WITH ALESONG PROGRAM: For the Engage with Alesong program, local organizations are nominated and voted on collectively by Alesong staff members to focus support to twelve different causes throughout the calendar year. Alesong will host these organizations for outreach events at their tasting room in the 5th Street Public Market each month and donate a portion of proceeds from a specific beer throughout the whole month to the organization.
