Breakfast Suit
A stout to rule all stouts, Breakfast Suit is our bourbon barrel-aged imperial milk stout conditioned on cocoa nibs, hand-sliced vanilla beans, cinnamon and blended with cold brew coffee. Pouring at 12.2 percent ABV, this confection of decadent flavors billows from its rich, full body into a moussey milk chocolate head — each sip is a dessert within a dessert, whipped like a cloud and stolen from a dream
We imagined this blend last year when tasting through an array of Rhino Suit variations, considering what culinary addition we could use to embolden our classic bourbon-barrel-aged Rhino Suit. Our first love will always be no-adjunct-added stout with quality bourbon barrel aromas, but there’s something fun and kind of exciting about finding flavors reminiscent of your favorite sweets.
We love tasting a vanilla stout and remembering rich vanilla gelato in a so-fresh-it’s-still-warm waffle cone, or tasting cinnamon in a creamy stout and transporting to Spain where hot churros with dipping chocolate make you never want to leave. These flavors, these memories, they make your heart pound just thinking about how rich and awe-inspiring they are. We don’t enjoy these kinds of delicacies every day, and so they’re special, they’re a treat and they evoke those memories of blissful enjoyment.
Breakfast Suit is therefore a celebration stout. It’s the morning you relax at a café and sip the crema atop your espresso, or the evening you spend bathing ripe fruits and cakes in a cascade of chocolate fondue. In this beer we decided to blend in the flavors that remind us of celebration and yeah, it’s luxurious, maybe a little over the top, but that’s what celebrations are about!
Aged in bourbon barrels, this stout holds onto an elegant base of flavors that holds it all together. With notes of oak and chocolate underlying it all, an incredibly bold vanilla flavor shines through with cinnamon and roasty coffee following in step.
Pair Breakfast Suit with a bitter, very dark chocolate cake so that the beer is just as sweet or slightly sweeter, or alongside a coffee-rubbed ribeye, where the bold, richness in the dish will stand up to, and pair well with the bold beer.
Cheers and hope you enjoy Breakfast Suit!
