Alesong Cellar Fest 2021

It’s time for the first ever Alesong Cellar Fest! We’ve been waiting to dip into our vintage library and dust off some bottles to share with you all. And now that we have an in-town tasting room, we figured we’d give it a shot before the weather starts to warm up, this weekend March 12-14 at Alesong on 5th! This fest will include verticals of our signature stouts and barleywines as well as flights and glasses of some very small-batch blends!

Perhaps you’ve been wondering how our first ever Cellar Fest will look at the 5th Street Market? Let me give you a little run down of what we’re planning.

When you arrive and are seated, we’ll have a special draft menu (see below) of some of our most sought after bourbon barrel-aged beers. We will also be pouring Kriek and Touch of Brett for those of you who either need an ‘acid break’ or a smaller beer to enjoy while your friend has the bigger beers. We’ll also have a handful of sour and farmhouse beers by the bottle that you can share if you so choose, but the draft list and bottles to go will focus on our spirits barrel aged program.

We’ll be serving beers either in a taster flight or by the glass, but we suggest you try a flight so you can experience a few different things. Please be patient with your server as this takes a little longer to serve. Many of the beers only have one keg or less than a case left, so when things are gone, they are gone.  We’ll try to make the kegs for sampling last the whole weekend, but we suspect some of the bottles to-go will sell out before the weekend is over.

Due to COVID and the continuing safety measures we need to follow, this will not be your typical ‘walk around to booths’ fest.  We still need to host parties of 6 people or fewer, seat guests at a table spaced 6 feet apart and only allow the enjoyment of Alesong beer while seated. Therefore, we DO expect to be full most of the weekend and we are not yet set up for proper reservations. So, we will be seating people on a first come, first served basis.  In future years, we may have to go to sessions, or perhaps move it to the Territorial Tasting room, but that involves transportation due to the distance.  For now, we envision a casual weekend, where you get to enjoy some of our rare and vintage blends from the cellar, and maybe take a few home.

When you are ready to head out, we’ll also have several bottles for purchase to take with you. We hopefully will have those on display, but due to space we might have to provide a menu to choose from and we’ll build your to-go bag. We’re also looking to source any more of our collaboration beers or even some guest beers if we can get our hands on them. Stay tuned for that.
