In Honor of Black History Month

We’re excited to announce a new ongoing initiative at Alesong, and we’re beginning in February both in honor of Black History Month and thanks to Cassandra for her great idea and help to get this going!

In this new initiative, someone from our team will pick an organization or a cause to donate to each month. Then we’ll pick a blend to keep on draft all month and donate $1 from every glass or bottle sold to the organization. If the group is local, we’ll also invite them to our tasting room for a special event where they can talk to guests about their mission. We’ll donate a portion of our proceeds from all sales that day to the organization as well.

This month, Cassandra picked the Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing and Distilling. The foundation funds scholarships for Black, Indigenous and people of color looking to either get into the brewing or distilling industry or advance their careers. We would be proud and honored to see this industry that we love become a more equitable and diverse space.

In what seems like a very ‘February beer,’ we’ll keep Framboise on draft at our 5th St. tasting room all month long, and for every glass or bottle of Framboise sold, we’ll donate $1 to The MJF.

So join us at our 5th St. tasting room this month to enjoy a glass of Framboise and to support The MJF in their mission to fund education and career advancement for BIPOC in the brewing and distilling industry!
